South London singer and songwriter Joy Crookes provides us with a sombre track titled ‘Skin’. This single comes after dropping her highly acclaimed track ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me Now' and it takes a much more upbeat tone than this track. This shows how talented the artist is as she is able to explore with her sounds, range and the type of music she makes, whilst still being extremely distinguishable. ‘Skin’ is also the title of this artist's debut album, which is set to drop on October 15^th, implying that this single must be extremely important to the artist. This can be seen by the message of this single, as this artist speaks about a close friend who was "unsure life was worth living", as stated in her most recent Instagram post. This rawness is one of the reasons Joy is liked so much as she is open to sharing her life experiences with us through her music, which will most definitely be done in this album.
